Passantè adj. a friendly familiarity with otherwise strangers we meet in our daily lives. Public transport, canteen or parking attendants. People we see briefly and feel we know on a daily basis, yet we know nothing else of their lives except for our glancing interaction each day. Derived from the French for passerby Pronounced “pass-an-tay”.
